Recently, the 0.69MW/1.38MWh energy storage project for Wuxi Jiyu Shanhe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., developed, constructed, and operated by Smart Energy Technology and supplied by JD Energy, was successfully connected to the grid and commenced operation.
Nestled in Wuxi, an industrial hub among regions south of the Yangtze River, this project marks JD Energy's inaugural grid-connected user-side energy storage project in Wuxi Xinwu District, setting the stage for Wuxi New District's green future. Furthermore, this project underscores JD Energy's development in the pharmaceutical industry, serving as a benchmark for user-side energy storage projects.
Founded in 1956, Wuxi Jiyu Shanhe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. spans 100,000 square meters, integrating scientific research, production, and sales of traditional Chinese and Western medicines. Having transitioned from "Wuxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory," a former key player in traditional Chinese medicine factories nationwide, it now stands as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi Jemincare Group Co., Ltd., renowned for products like Huang's Xiangsheng Pill and Xingnaojing Injection.
The project uses JD Energy's distributed modular intelligent energy storage system solution, deploys six eBlock-230 products interconnected through two converged paths. With an annual average discharge of approximately 710,000 kWh, the project adheres to Jiangsu's time-of-use electricity pricing policy, employing a "peak shaving and valley filling" strategy. Operating on a daily "charge during off-peak hours, discharge during peak hours" schedule with two charges and two discharges ensures optimal energy utilization.
Upon completion, this project will significantly reduce electricity costs for the customer, achieving high-quality cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. It comprehensively addresses power regulation needs, ensuring stable electricity usage, preventing overload and power outages, and optimizing the energy supply structure. Moreover, the project contributes to carbon emission reduction, heralding a new chapter of green transformation for the enterprise.
Subsequently, the project will leverage Smart Energy Technology's self-developed SunCloud new energy cloud platform for operation and maintenance management, encompassing various functions such as real-time monitoring, safety analysis, fault diagnosis, and revenue analysis. This platform supports adjusting and optimizing power station operational strategies across diverse scenarios, thereby significantly enhancing energy efficiency and achieving economic and operational goals.
As the leading Chinese user-side energy storage shipper in 2023, JD Energy has successfully entered various industries. This collaboration with Smart Energy Technology exemplifies another commercial and industrial energy storage application case.
