Since the inception of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Zhejiang Province has been proactive in issuing a series of policies aimed at advancing energy storage. Kicking off the event, Shen Fuxin, Secretary General of the Zhejiang Solar Photovoltaic Industry Association, emphasized in his opening speech that the guiding principle of the "14th Five-Year Plan for New Energy Storage Development in Zhejiang Province" focuses on promoting high-quality, large-scale, and integrated new energy storage development, with a sharp focus on breakthroughs in power supply-side and grid-side energy storage, while scientifically guiding user-side energy storage. As a pivotal component in advancing Zhejiang's clean energy demonstration province construction, energy storage is bound to usher in surging growth.

During the keynote speech session, Professor Zhou Xinfa from the Zhejiang Energy Research Institute provided a comprehensive analysis of Zhejiang's energy storage market, highlighting the province's status as a small resource but significant energy consumption hub with robust electricity demand and a solid energy storage industry foundation, including battery manufacturers and digital cloud platform enterprises. With the accelerated construction of a unified national electricity market and the mature application of energy interconnection technologies, such as virtual power plants, Zhejiang's energy storage industry, especially commercial and industrial energy storage, is poised to lead the nation.
Xu Chenxuan from the Huadong Engineering Co., Ltd., presented a speech titled "Analysis on Economic Efficiency of Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Projects," detailing the primary revenue streams of commercial and industrial energy storage, including time-of-use electricity prices, special subsidies, demand management, demand-side response, virtual power plants, and auxiliary services. Based on an analysis of a typical user-side project in Zhejiang, JD Energy solution exhibited remarkable performance parameters, with a DOD of 100%, a comprehensive efficiency 3% higher than traditional solutions, and a static investment recovery period of only 4.14 years.
Wang Xiangjin, an expert from the Energy Storage Technology Center of the Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., offered a professional perspective on grid connection and acceptance of commercial and industrial energy storage projects, emphasizing their direct impact on project commissioning and subsidy collection. He provided a detailed overview of policies, processes, technical requirements, and shared constructive suggestions for project implementation.
Tang Teng, Senior Technical Engineer of JD Energy's Product and Solution Department, cited the monthly report on energy storage in the Ningxia Grid, revealing that the 100MW/200MWh shared energy storage station project at Tongli Substation in Litong District, operated by Beijing JD Energy (Dachu Technology), ranked first in Ningxia for average charge-discharge utilization hours in May and June 2023. This outstanding achievement underscores JD Energy's unwavering commitment to its products, systems, and values, achieving the lowest LCOS through enhanced system efficiency and stored and discharged electric quantity, ultimately maximizing customer value.
Furthermore, Ma Liangjun, JD Energy's East China Region Project Development Director, elaborated on JD Energy's ecological partner policies, providing insights into product strength, service strength, and pricing strength. In terms of product, JD Energy's product and solution design focuses on safety and economy, and prioritizes customer value. As to service, JD Energy provides one-stop and meticulous service to ensure that the mean time to recovery (MTTR) of energy storage power station does not exceed 24 hours. In terms of price, JD Energy's "Starry Sky Plan" will give ecological partners a more competitive empowerment price based on the market benchmark price of the month, in order to achieve a win-win situation.
Shi Zhenzhong, Project Director of the Energy Storage Business at Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., presented the comprehensive investment solution under the "HXFL + JD Energy Storage" collaboration, detailing two models, their respective advantages, and entry requirements, providing a boost of confidence for investments in energy storage projects.
As a representative of JD Energy's ecological partners, Hu Yizhou, Project Manager at Zhejiang Sun Most Energy Co., Ltd., presented compelling case studies showcasing how JD Energy's solutions ensure safety, efficient integration, standardized modularization, and enhanced returns. The jointly implemented 2.2MW/4.4MWh industrial and commercial user-side project in Haining, Zhejiang, has gained profound recognition from the electricity user and marks a benchmark project in the field. In the future, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in marketing, R&D, supply chain and other aspects.
